Things I Love – Emo/Scene Fashion ♥
I never thought that I would talk about fashion on my blog. ;P I mean, I do love it but I never thought I’d talk actually about which type of fashion styles that I like :) I have to tell you that my love for fashion isn’t like the same as everyone else. Like, while girls love to wear nice clothes that makes them look like models (e.g: short skirts, big sunglasses, big earrings, necklaces, lip gloss, fake eyelashes, high heel sandals and shops at H&M, Urban Behavior and Abercrombie & Fitch), I love to wear converse, skinny jeans, shirts with images on it, black nail polish and chap stick. I bet a lot of people would say that I’m not normal. Well hey, you have your fashion sense and I have my own. Moving on with the post! The Things I Love topic for today is the Emo/Scene fashion style. :)

The time I first saw the style was in my first year of high school. Of course, the school I went to, had uniforms. But some of the students, had the hairstyle. I was in awe every time I would see them in the hallways. For casual days when we would have them, I would see a few students wearing the Emo/Scene style. One of my friends had the style back in high school but now she doesn’t. Is it bad that if I told you that I tried to do my hair and clothing style like that? :P For clothes, I didn’t get much help from any of the stores except for Hot Topic.1 For accessories like bows, clips, I went to Claire’s, Ardene’s and Hot Topic. I really love the style because it’s creative. People add highlights and teases their hair. You can wear bright or dark colors. Now, if you’re gonna ask me what am I, I would tell you that I’m neither. :)
- I LOVE that store so much! It’s like a second home to me. :D [↩]

I agree that the style is unique and different. Towards the end of middle school and the beginning of high school, emo looks were incredibly popular; lots of people were doing it. It got to the point where it wasn’t as original anymore and pretty much became boring. Most of the people went overboard with it. To say the least, they didn’t look as pretty as the images you posted; they became obsessed with piercings (even getting ear gauges when I find incredibly gross) to getting extreme highlight colors almost all the time. One girl did it so often that I kid you not, her hair started to fall out. It can be cool and nice as long as you’re subtle about it; don’t have to go overboard to impress anybody. I myself wear Converse, plaid shirts and skinny jeans so join the club. ;)
Converse and skinny jeans ftw! :D Yikes about the girl who’s hair started to fall off. Looks like she puts too much hairspray when she teases it. ;P And yeah, you’re right. The fashion did used to be popular but now I rarely see it around. Looks like people are forgetting about it, which is kinda okay I guess. ;P
