Things I Love – Singing ♥
Note: I know that I’ve previously written this topic on the blog before, but like I said I’m starting over from scratch. :) I hope you guys don’t mind. And my best friend Donna wanted me to bring this topic back up again so this post is for her :)
When I was young, I love to sing songs from Disney movies. And up to this point I still do. Disney Classics has wonderful songs that you can never forget. Like there’s Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Reflection from Mulan, You Can Fly! from Peter Pan, I Won’t Say I’m In Love from Hercules and aside from Disney there are Deliver Us & When You Believe from The Prince of Egypt. I would always sing around the house until nighttime. When I was young, I had no plans to be a singer until one day back in elementary school. This girl in my class heard me singing during an assembly (Everyone else was quiet). She came up to me and say, “You have a great voice! You should be a singer!” I was really shocked to hear that. So I gave it more thought and finally decided to be a singer when I’m older. I asked my mom my mom to sign me up for singing lessons to improve my voice. That didn’t happen till I turned 18. (Did I got mad that I started singing lessons late? HELL YES! Am I happy that I’m getting lessons? Of course).
At the moment, I haven’t written any songs yet however, I do hope to do that in the future. All I have done so far is writing titles based on my feelings and relationships with other people and I have recorded some songs sung by other artists. 1 When it comes to singing, my inspirational artists are Ofra Haza, Kanon Wakeshima, Demi Lovato, Akiko Shikata, Lady Gaga, Bonnie Pink, Yousei Teikoku and Goldfrapp. My biggest dream is to be the singing voice to a Disney Princess. Well, a future one. Hopefully, Disney will cast me one day. To the many people out there, if you love to sing, sing. No one can stop you. Doesn’t matter if you have a beautiful voice or not. Everyone has the freedom to do so. If you wish to come a singer, go for it. Ignore if people tell you that you can’t. Nothing is impossible if you don’t try and do it yourself. :)
- Hello by Evanescence is my recent recorded song that I’ve done in my lesson. Please tell me what you think! ♥ [↩]

You have such a beautiful voice! <3 I love singing as well, but definitely not as much as you. :) One of my favourite Disney songs is A Whole New World. I sang it with a friend once, I wasn't that good though. XD
I guess you have that girl to thank for making you think more about singing. :D It is really nice to receive compliments and I'm sure many other people would have told you the same, maybe they were too shy. ^^;
I think it's so important to believe in yourself though. I love singing and playing guitar and even though I'm not that good, I still have written a couple of songs. I hope your singing will put you in a wonderful place in the future. <3
Thank you so much! :D But hey, you did have fun singing it, right? :) Haha! Yeah. And actually when I wasn’t on stage for my ballet recital last week, I was singing because some of the songs used for the recital were my favorite (like Lady Gaga’s Born This Way) and they heard me singing and they were like “I love your singing!” ;P Hearing that, made me feel more confident :) I love to hear your songs ;D I hope to do that since I’m taking guitar as well :) And thank you so much, I hope so too :D xoxo
Thank you so much Mayumi! I still haven’t gotten my other website back, however, I’m am looking into it. Trying to see what I can do. I just don’t know though.
I too love singing. I’m not much of a singer though myself. Lol. I do it more for fun rather then anything else. As a child, I was a much better singer. I remember when I was a kid, me and my friends used to play around the den pretending we were pop-stars. Lol.
You should continue your singing. Especially since its something that you so love to do! Its great to have something you love and are good at. :) Keep working at it and you’ll become better and better. Do what makes you happy and this seems to make you very happy. So don’t let anyone ever put you down. :)
I wish you the best of luck with your singing! Its such a fun and beautiful talent!
Hang in there; I know you’ll get it back :D If you love doing it for fun, go for it :) Thank you so much for your kind words :D I will keep going :) I won’t give up! ^_^
Mayumi’s last post was Happy Canada Day! ♥
